Ian Parker
Ian has a background in property development, planning and economic development. He is the senior property adviser at the Foundation bringing extensive public and private sector experience to community organisations across the whole of England in the use and development of community assets. Ian provides property advice and support to charities, community groups and social enterprises including advice on environmental issues, social impact and investment.

Ruth Thompson
Ruth has a legal background and has worked with many third sector organisations to help solve their legal problems over the last five years. She is a property adviser at the Foundation, providing support to all kinds of not for profits on varied property related issues.
Ian and Ruth have worked with various Charity and Voluntary Services (CVS) nationally such as Liverpool, Newcastle, London boroughs Bexley, Sutton, Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Barnet CVSs
organisations such as CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy), NFASP (National Federation of Artists Studio Providers) and the Small Charities Coalition. They have worked on consultancy projects for the Royal London Society for the Blind and the Association of Charitable Foundations.
